Maryland Community College Association of Continuing Education and Training Professional Development Day 2025

I had the pleasure of presenting to the Maryland Community College Association of Continuing Education and Training at the Professional Development Day on May 2, 2025, which was hosted at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland. My topic was Personal Branding: How Does It Impact Your Professional Career? 

I want to personally thank the IT Department at Chesapeake College for stepping in and saving me when the Whiteboard in my first classroom kept going blank. They moved the attendees and me to another room, which was perfect because we ran out of seats in the first room. The participants were amazing!

Here is some feedback provided to me from my survey:

Kristina Toadvine- 8 out of 10 rating stated the presentation was "energetic"
Chantal Vilmar- 10 out of 10 rating and stated the presentation was "enlightening"
Paige Redmond- 10 out of 10 rating and stated that "Tabu was wonderful! Her energy is very engaging and contagious."

100% Yes for an engaging presentation
95.83% Yes, did you gain knowledge that will help you in your professional and personal life to improve your personal branding?
62.50% Yes, they would recommend me as a presenter.
33.37% Maybe they would recommend me as a presenter.
4.77% No, they would not recommend me as a presenter.

I will have to work on getting those numbers to 100%, yes, to recommending me as a presenter. With much prayer and practice, I will get there.

She received her Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Morris has written short stories called Budget on a Shoe String, A Little Talk with Jesus and Golden Nugget that was published through LinkedIn, Google Plus and other social media platforms.
