New Beginnings #2022 Trio Scholars Upward Bound CCBC Catonsville

I have worked with Upward Bound CCBC MD Catonsville Program for 2 years come August 2022. It has been a journey of laughter, tears, anger, and joy. Mostly joy! This #Covid pandemic as been something to handle. But for our Baltimore County Public High School students this journey has been all to real. 

The Class of 2022, spent most of their 4 years in lock down, hybrid, synchronous, and asynchronous schooling. They spent one-on-ones each month having Upward Bound Check-In's mainly virtual with my colleagues and my self. But guess what, they were victorious! They got through. They keep up their grades. Went to school even when all they saw was little circles on a screen. They came to Saturday Academy virtually and was attentive and participated. 

Now our babies are off to their next journey. A new beginning!

College!

What a milestone to celebrate! 

I am so proud of our senior cohort of now #Trio Alum. They are attending this fall some amazing Universities and Colleges. I wish them much success and I thank them for enriching my life. I am different because of you all. I have learned how to love, share a tear, laugh out loud, and just rant when it came to assisting my babies grow and take flight. 

Fly babies, fly! 

That is what your families want. That is what the faculty and staff at BCPS and Upward Bound Catonsville wants. 

Guess what? That is what our country needs. We need you to take flight and fly! 

When you land at your next journey, remember where you learned how to fly and reach back and grab someone else so they can take flight too.

As a Sole Proprietor she participated in the NFL Houston Super Bowl Li Business Connect Resource Guide for certified vendors. She received her Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Morris has written short stories called Budget on a Shoe String, A Little Talk with Jesus and Golden Nugget that was published through LinkedIn, Google Plus and other social media platforms.
