NFL WILD CARD WEEKEND

I am
not sure how you responded to the NFL Wild Card weekend, but my face says it
all. I selected all losers this past weekend except for the Dallas Cowboys.
Here is my take on the games
Texans
I do
not know where Defense was in this game. They came out slow from the first
snap. A quarterback cannot win alone. It is a team game. There is a lot of talk
about the offensive line men. They were over powered. It was like the Colts
defense had ate spinach like Popeye the Sailor Man. That is how they were
handled. Then when Defense came back onto the field for the Texans, they did
not do their job. I was embarrass for the Texans.
I
love their new QB. But it takes more than a QB to make it to the Superbowl. If
they want to just make the playoff each year, then keep all the pieces you have
including your coaching staff. Hats off to Hopkins! He is also simply
outstanding. He is one weapon I pray they pay well. He knows how to catch and
hold onto the ball. There are few more but overall, they must know when you are
not receiving the ball you should be playing as a team player and helping your
team advance down the field of play blocking and holding your own. If everyone does
their jobs, you can gain one more yard. One yard at a time.
I
have been in Houston, Texas since May 2013. I come from Raven's Nation. Where
the fans bleed purple. I have been a little disappointed in the fans here in
Houston until yesterday. It is like heaven gave us a blessing and our team
decided to come to the fight without their gear on. You know the whole amour
using all your weapons. I do not know if they had anything in their bag.
Because there was no sling shot. No stone to throw. Nothing! They were met with
the beast. The Colts! Well done Colts!
Houston
was just over powered. There have been a lot of conversation around the QB not
knowing when to release the ball when pressured. That takes practice. He is a
rookie. When you make the NFL, your coaching must be elevated to the NFL level.
That means that when they saw a weakness in this young man that is one of the things,
they should be working on with him. He is the best I have seen in QB since I
have been here in Houston. Now after he receives the additional training and if
he does not improve then talk smack.
Cowboys
This
game I did not watch after the 1st quarter because I was just sicken by the
lost here in Houston, Texas. However, proud that I got one game right over the
weekend.
Ravens
This
game was close. At least, unlike the Houston, Texans they came ready to win.
When the Ravens defense hit the field lead by T-Sizzle they played. Any time a
team wins a game because of field goals you know defensive played. I have not
been in Baltimore since the new QB was brought on board as a backup player. But
Jackson did come ready to win. He had fight in him. His offensive line needed
to do more. They all need to know how to hold onto the ball.
I was
proud to bleed purple yesterday even though we did not get our W! It is not the
team that won 2012 Superbowl yet but it is sure close. You at least have
weapons to improve over the off season. Next year come out swinging.
Bear's
I did
not watch this game after seeing the Raven's lose. However, what I did watch
was good. You guys played your heart out this season. You have so many weapons
to work with next year. Your coaching team was outstanding. You have nothing to
be mad about. I wish you all well. Hopefully if there are any changes to your
team the coaches make the right choices because you were simply awesome this
NFL season. Great athleticism with exceptional coaching and training.
Divisional
Round
I do
not know if I am going to even watch. I can't take no more disappointment. 1
winner out of 4 is not good. Congratulations to all the teams that has
advanced.
All I can say is that football is a team sport that takes NFL level of coaching and training. Athleticism met with outstanding knowledge in coaching and skilled training. That is the recipe for a great team that makes it past the Wild Card weekend.
But when you do not make it past Wild Card Weekend it is always next year, for some.
